I initially planned to roll out the DNS service first, but I realized I needed to tackle something else first. I’ve been hosting multiple sites for a few years now, and while I have tools in place to manage them, there’s definitely room for improvement. To achieve the momentum I want for these projects, I’m reworking my roadmap a bit and starting by rebuilding the filesystem layer of the current hosting system.
I’m calling this update version 1.6 of 509 Network’s hosting services. While there have been many iterations of our systems, this will likely be the most significant one yet—migrating all our sites before their final transition to the new system I’m building now. Once this step is complete, I plan to focus on the VPN service before circling back to the DNS system.
These additional steps shouldn’t slow me down too much; I’m still aiming to get the DNS rollout started soon.
